My story

I am a recovering entrepreneur who for years abused my body with little sleep, bad food and not enough exercise. Luckily, I sold my company a  few years ago and have been able to focus on my health. This write up is a synthesis of the things that worked for me. Please note, everyone is different and the things that worked for me might not work for you. The exciting thing though it is relatively easy to now track various bio markers so you can see what is working (or not). 


My initial biomarker test scores were horrible. My biological age was twenty five percent older than my chronological age. I was over weight (needing to eat every three hours), not sleeping well and it felt like I had PTSD. Since this poor initial starting point, I have done some deep dives on the key pillars of health and have experimented with some of the latest thinking and technology and protocols to dramatic positive impact. I really believe that all of the technology advances related to Moore’s Law has allowed us to finally better understand our human biology and what makes it healthy (or sick). The challenge though is that there is a ton of noise out there plus lots of misinformation which makes it hard for people to really appreciate what they need to do (and not do) to be healthy.

 

Despite such confusion, I think it is clear that many of our “modern improvements” in terms of food, technology and new behaviors are actually making us sick. The explosion obesity, diabetes and other chronic diseases proves this point. Therefore, it is critical to make sure you don’t get sick from these seismic technology changes and instead leverage these new tools and understanding for proactive health and wellness benefits. 

There is a ton of new science and bad science out there to sift through .

I think many people have given up after hearing conflicting studies and reports. To really understand what is best practice and works best for me, I went through a ton of research and experimentation, including:

  • Reading hundreds of books, articles and research papers 
  • Listening to hundreds of podcasts 
  • Going through multiple sleep studies 
  • Testing many different supplements 
  • Getting blood tested every four months 
  • Meeting the top experts at conferences 
  • Hosting my own global webinars with leading authorities 
  • Trying the latest exercise and recovery technologies and protocols from leading experts 
  • Utilizing and cross comparing multiple tracking technologies 
  • Analyzing my DNA, telomeres and gut biome 
  • Obtaining real time heart rate and EEG biofeedback to optimize meditation 
  • Receiving training from breath work and Reiki Masters 
  • Experimenting with morning and going to sleep routines
  • Getting my brain scanned 

   

The impact of this journey has been transformative to me (which is why I am so obsessed about sharing this new world and life that I now enjoy) .

Through this 18 month journey, I’ve been able repair my health and: 

  • Lose 22 pounds 
  • Increase my deep sleep 100 percent 
  • Decrease resting heart rate ten percent 
  • Improve my HRV 30% 
  • Eliminate all micro nutrient deficiencies 
  • Optimize / improve my gut biome (no more stomach issues) 
  • Enjoy eating only one meal a day as my new standard (intermittent fasting) 
  • Do seasonal (once a quarter) five-day fasts without any real issues or physical suffering (although the social pressure to eat with others is really hard) 
  • Utilize protocols that help eliminate jet lag
